Chocolate is rich in flavanols

A landmark study of seniors with mild cognitive impairment demonstrates that ingestion of chocolate improves cognitive function and performance.  The study was conducted at University of L’Aquila in Italy. Published in Hypertension, a journal of the American Heart Association, the improvement is attributed to cocoa’s potent concentration of flavanols.  While many other healthful foods like grapes, apricots, apples, tea and wine are rich in flavanols, chocolate still has the highest concentration.  It’s never too late to get smarter—  so indulge!  No Chewing Allowed!
